Hi. My name is David. I have been an outdoor enthusiast all my life. My love of the outdoors started with camping, leading to canoeing/kayaking, and then wind sports and Kitesurfing. I have travelled the world in search of good winds and have some incredible stories to share with you. I now live and operate our Eco Adventure Trips from a small family friendly campground, Spanish River Resort, along the Northern Shore of Lake Huron. My formal education was in Psychology, Environmental Studies and Mechanical Engineering but my PASSION is being on the water, outdoors with the wind in my hair and the waves in my face. Let me help you plan and find your next outdoor adventure.
(I'm the good looking instructor on the right ;) ).
I was living in Southern Ontario working as a preventative maintenance engineer in Etobicoke, but travelling from Hamilton each day. The commute was not fun, and I longed to be closer to Nature. With the passing years and increased traffic on the roads I knew I needed to make a life change or forever be stuck in the gridlock. I wanted to be closer to my natural environment, less traffic and more ME time. I quit working as an engineer to become a professional landscaper which meant i was outside almost all the time, and it gave me winters off with the ability to take up kitesurfing and chase the wind around the globe. I learned then, as i know now, that my life and soul craves to be close with Nature and to the elements, especially the water. Now I see sunrises, paddle rivers, kitesurf the delta, fish the lake of my dock, see the sunset and repeat this lifestyle daily. Join me, adventure awaits you here!
